PARIS – Indonesia ensured taking home two titles at the French Open Super Series Premier 2017 tournament. The assurance came after Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir won the title after defeating Chinese representative Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen in the final.

Tontowi/Liliyana follow in the footsteps of their previous colleagues in the women’s doubles sector, where Greysia Polii/Apriani Rahayu won the title after defeating Lee So Hee/Shin Seung Chan from South Korean with straight game 21-17 21-15.

The couple who familiarly called Owi/Butet is doing less well start. They had left behind at the start of the first game with a 4-9 position. But gradually both games began to improve after making some pattern changes. So Owi/Butet able to lock the first game with a score of 22-20.

In the second game, Owi/Butet who is the second seed started to successfully control the game. The result, the second game so easily achieved them after successfully sealed victory with 21-15 over the first seeded origin of China.

They added, if aiming for the title in the BWF Super Series Finals 2017 after this tournament. BWF Super Series Finals 2017 becomes the next target for Tontowi/Liliyana at the end of the year. They are also scheduled to attend two Super Series tournaments at the China Open and Hong Kong Open 2017.

“We have six matches in the Super Series finals and have never penetrated the semifinals with the title in 2017 and the implementation of the right strategy, the same communication with Owi, I’m sure we can win there, hopefully we can,” said Liliyana as quoted from Badmintonindonesia on Monday (30/10).
